We have just posted how GOG declined to add Devotion to their store after complaints from potentially Chinese gamers. It looks like we were not the only ones disappointed with this decision, as the SkateBIRD devs have now decided to pull any plans of their game hitting the GOG store.
It is inspiring to see indie developers stick out for each other like this, and will hopefully be something that pushes GOG to walk back on their decision. I would not be surprised if more developers follow suit. We will continue to update this article if that happens.
In the meantime, be sure to checkout SkateBIRD, which is a unique skateboarding game featuring birds doing hot tricks on a board. It will be out on both itch.io and Steam next year. It will also be available on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One.
