The makers of the Shadowrun Trilogy, Harebrained Schemes have announced their next title, a survival horror RPG, GRAFT that mixes tense action with terrifying body horror.
The game follows a protagonist who is seemingly conjoined with someone he cares for, who protrudes out of his chest, sharing parts of his ribs and organs like a parasite. The body horror aspect seems to be more than just a narrative driver, as players will be able to augment their body with Grafts that can help them build an arsenal of abilities.
The gameplay seen in the trailer hints at it being an isometric experience with story choices, and deadly enemies that are capable of killing you easily if you are not careful. The developers themselves have reiterated that the game is a survival horror experience, so players will have to pick their battles and manage their resources carefully in order to escape the horrors.
GRAFT is now available to wishlist on Steam and Epic Games Store. The developer will share more details in the coming months through the X and Bluesky account, so be sure to follow them there if interested.
