Initially released for the PC, SoulQuest will now be slashing its way onto the Nintendo Switch, making it the game’s first console release.
SoulQuest is a love letter to classic character action games like Devil May Cry, featuring an intense combo system where light and heavy attacks chain into dozens of freeform combos and enemies react to attacks in physical ways. Similarly, a grading system keeps track of how stylish and varied your combos are, ranging from an F to SSS.
SoulQuest follows Alys as she fights to free her husband from the goddess of death. To do so, she must journey across the British Isles and confront the entire Celtic pantheon, one god at a time.
We had played the game’s demo when it first released and were extremely impressed by how good the combat felt. Enemies would react in a variety of ways, from knockbacks to wall juggles, making your combos feel responsive and fun. Nintendo Switch seems like a perfect platform for this side-scrolling spectacle fighter.
SoulQuest will make its console debut on Nintendo Switch, September 3rd 2026. It is currently available on PC through Steam and GOG.
