Fans of the Resident Evil series have been anxiously waiting for more news on its upcoming chapter Resident Evil: Village. Looks like Cacpom has definitely heard the plea, and will be hosting a showcase that features brand new gameplay as well as news on the future of the franchise.
Resident Evil: Village takes place after the events of 7, with Ethan and Mia having escaped the horrors of the Baker family. However, things take a dark turn when Chris Redfield once again enters their life, turning their world upside down.
As series first, Village will introduce brand new monster archetypes, including vampires and werewolves, putting a fresh spin on the classic survival horror series. Whilst the game will release around April this year, the showcase should hopefully set a date in stone.
