Ahead of its release, Capcom has released a brand new trailer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, focusing on the game’s combat and its unique features players will get to experience.
The trailer explains different attributes players should look out for and how a basic combat scenario might play out. They also touch a bit on the game’s setting and the protagonist’s capabilities that helps him fight off ruthless foes.
What has really grabbed our attention is how flexible the animations look with Mushahashi deflecting blows from a variety of poses, leading your enemy’s footwork in different directions.
Players can now try out an expanded demo that got announced at this year’s Gamescom, and look forward to Onimusha: Way of the Sword’s release on the 4th of September, 2026 for the PC, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S.
