During the recent direct, Nintendo has revealed that Monster Hunter Wilds will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 later this year.
Monster Hunter Wilds will feature all title updates released so far with the upcoming expansion Ascendance also in development for it. It will support local play, allowing players to game with other Switch 2 users nearby.
Whilst we had heard that it was in development for the Nintendo Switch 2, it is nice to get a confirmation that it will be releasing with its full feature set. The graphics do look downgraded but not enough that it looks jarring.
Monster Hunter Wilds will release on the Nintendo Switch, December 4 2026, with the Ascendance expansion releasing sometimes next year. It is not yet known if it will release alongside the console and PC release.
