The highly anticipated Sci-Fi Action RPG, Exodus finally gets a release date at Gamescom and shows off an interesting new companion: an octopus that can pilot a combat mech.
EXODUS is a cinematic single-player action RPG that is set in the far future, featuring a unique sci-fi universe. Players take on the role of Jun Aslan who fights for the future of their homeworld against powerful extraterrestrial threats.
To help you in your journey, you will find and lead a crew of unforgettable companions as you search for the key to humanity’s survival across the most dangerous reaches of space. The new Gamescom trailer introduces one such companion: Salt, an Octopus that can pilot a combat ready mech suit.
It is being developed by the award-winning RPG veterans behind Mass Effect, Baldur’s Gate, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. A lot of the gameplay elements seem to be inspired by Mass Effect, including a story that changes based on player choice.
EXODUS launches April 7, 2027, on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Epic Games Store.
