The Witcher 3’s New Expansion Gets Announced At Gamescom

Travel to the idyllic new region of Letten as Geralt, fighting against a long-dormant evil that lurks beneath its lavish lands.

The upcoming expansion to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt finally got revealed with the developers confirming that it will be a full fledged adventure with Geralt returning to the titular role.

In Songs of the Past players will travel to a brand new region of Letten, an idyllic land steeped in rural tradition and folklore that people celebrate through a bountiful life and lavish festivals. However, when an ancient evil surfaces from the dark secrets of the town, Geralt must once again face challenging foes in his fight against the land’s long-dormant evil.

If Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine are any indication, then we are surely in for a treat as CDPR always puts a lot of effort into its expansions which end up being just as engaging as the main game. In fact, a lot of people even prefer Blood and Wine over the original game.

Songs of the Past will launch as a paid expansion for The Witcher 3 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
