The New Zealand-based studio Disc 2 Games has announced that Canvas City will soon be getting a demo on Steam, letting players experience over two hours of the game’s content.
Canvas City is a turn-based tactics RPG that combines tactical combat with roller skating, where movement is a key part of the strategy and raising your online follower count brings different benefits.
Players use ramps, rails and verticality to move across each map, combining skating tricks with abilities and building style points to give their crew more tactical options and ways to accumulate social media followers.
The demo will let players experience the first four levels and try out six playable characters spread across three different classes. As they progress through the demo, players will also get the opportunity to unlock new abilities and skating tricks.
The Canvas City demo will be available on Steam from 24 August, 2026. The full game is currently in development for PC and Nintendo Switch.
