Launching today, Fantasy Network is a playful Metroidvania that blends exploration, platforming and combat across a colourful fantasy world, where an in-game social network turns posts, followers, likes and online fame into a fun gameplay experience.
Along the way, players will meet an eccentric cast of characters, discover new locations and abilities, face unusual enemies, and take part in Talent Competitions built around a varied selection of minigames.
Developers Raven Travel, who are an independent studio based in Italy have handcrafted the adventure’s colourful, hand-drawn art style, giving it plenty of charm through memorable visuals and effects.
Some of the levels look difficult as well, which should satisfy some of the more hardcore fans that love challenging platformers and scenarios.
Fantasy Network will be available on PC through Steam and GOG later today, priced at $14.99 / €13.99 / £11.99.
