Following on from their reveal of the Scottish Highlands Reserves, Frontier Developments has given us a closer look at the Indo-Pacific Leopard Shark and the unique behaviours that players can expect from it.
Leopard Sharks are also called Zebra Sharks since their younger members are typically covered in venomous looking stripes that help keep the predators away and as they grow more mature, they develop more spotted bodies with longer tails.
They are naturally known for their gentle and curious nature and are known to spend their time exploring different areas of their habitats. More interestingly, as they are more active at night, it should give unique considerations to players when they design their underwater homes, especially when it comes to enrichment items.
We are interested in seeing how much of their personality is captured well, especially since there is a difference between the behaviours of a striped pup and spotted adults. Hopefully, their exploratory nature will be fun to observe as they curiously explore around the player-built habitats.
Planet Zoo 2 will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on 13 October 2026. In the meantime, be sure to visit their website for more information and check out our previous coverage on its predecessor’s excellent DLCs.
