The Caribou Trail Brings Its Haunting World War I Story To PS5

The Caribou Trail is a first-person narrative experience set during the Gallipoli campaign of 1915, exploring survival, friendship and the emotional realities of World War I through a cinematic story grounded in humanity rather than heroism.

Unreliable Narrators and Gambit Digital have just announced that The Caribou Trail is now available on the PlayStation 5, initially having released for the PC earlier this year on Steam.

Described as a first-person narrative experience, The Caribou Trail explores themes of survival, friendship and the emotional realities of World War I. It is set during one of the First World War’s lesser known events, the Gallipoli campaign of 1915, and is inspired by real testimonies.

The game puts you in the shoes of Fisher, a young fisherman from Newfoundland, as he navigates an unfamiliar war from home alongside those he calls his brothers. It is not a combat-led experience, instead relying on a cinematic story grounded in humanity rather than heroism with elements of folklore and psychological horror present.

The Caribou Trail is now available on PlayStation 5, priced at $12.99 USD/£9.79 GBP. PlayStation Plus members can also get an additional 10% off. The PC version is also currently discounted by 20% off on Steam as part of their Summer Sale.
