As we get closer to the pre-orders opening for Grand Theft Auto VI, Rockstar has revealed one of their pre-order bonuses, the Vintage Pack. While it may seem like a simple bundle of throwback items at first glance, some of its details could point toward wider customisation and gameplay systems in GTA VI.
The description reads, “Cruise Shore Drive in this classic sedan and store it in the Shore Court personal garage that’s just a stone’s throw from the glistening sands of Ocean Beach. It features a weapon locker plus a secure place to deposit stolen goods to be fenced.”
A few things stand out from that description, namely mentioning a weapons locker and deposit system for stolen goods. It has been highly rumoured that unlike the previous GTA games, players won’t be able to carry a large arsenal of weapons and instead will only get to equip a few at a time, storing the rest in your car’s trunk. This is similar to how Read Dead Redemption 2 approached the weapon loadout, where you could only carry a few weapons on you, and the rest were stored on your horse.

Also according to the description, it at least confirms that you can store weapons in a locker. What’s more interesting is the mention of depositing stolen goods, which might hint at the fact that any goods you steal might get confiscated if you die, or fail certain missions. In Read Dead Redemption 2 players had to fence off their stolen goods in a similar manner.
Hopefully we will find out more as we get close to another trailer. In the meantime, a variety of images were also released which you can view below. They give a brief look at how extensive the customisation options can get, from hairstyles, to clothes and accessories, all being changeable.
GTA VI will be available on the 19th of November for the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X and is now available for Preorder. There are two versions available for purchase, the standard one for £69.99 ($79) and the Ultimate Edition for £89.99 ($100)
