Stalker is easily one of the best survival FPS series ever made, putting players against genre-changing anomalies, mutants and blood-thirsty bandits. If the gameplay trailer for Stalker 2 is anything to go by, the sequel not only looks to be bringing back the best part, but improving on the series formula with some brand new additions.

The main thing that caught our attention with the gameplay shown was how freely customisable the weapon attachments were. You did not have to go into an inventory or gunsmithing menu in order to attach scopes and other attachments to your gun. The player was seen easily switching between these on the weapons picked up, letting you change your tactics and strategy on the fly.

This mechanic makes a lot of sense within the concept of the game, as through the varied enemies and situations seen, you will have to adapt in order to survive. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl will be available on Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store and will enter Game Pass on both PC and Xbox Series X/S day one on the 28th of April, 2021.
