After its early access period on Steam, the action parkour VR Title Stride will soon be out of the programme, and release in full.

The aesthetic is very similar to Mirror’s Edge, which is already a great start for a parkour game in my opinion, but where it differs is how much action it has, as gunplay goes hand in hand with the parkour.

The game currently has three different modes:

  • Endless mode: Infinite procedural level generation provides unlimited challenging terrain to traverse.
  • Arena mode: A spacious arena with waves of enemies. Perfect for practicing tricks across a varied terrain and refining shooting skills.
  • Time Run: Perfect for testing parkour-at-speed skills in a race against the clock.

A storymode is also planned for later in 2021, but for now players will be able to try out the modes above. It will be out of the steam early access programme on the 4th of November, but it might get delayed as the Oculus store version which should have been out already was also delayed.
