Here is an interesting bit of information for Assassin’s Creed fans, as Netflix has just announced that they will be developing a live-action series based on Ubisoft’s popular Assassin’s Creed franchise.
Ubisoft’s Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik will be serving as Executive Producers on the series, hopefully bringing it more in-line with the setting of the games.
Whilst I wasn’t a huge fan of Kurzel’s live-action film, I still liked some of the liberties they took, especially with the design of the animus, as well as the casting choice. I truly believe that there is a lot of potential for live-action storytelling, as there are lots of interesting periods to choose from.
Hopefully Netflix will deliver, maybe even something that doesn’t get cancelled after 2 seasons.
