Ghostbusters seems to be the next horror property to be jumping on the asymmetrical 4v1 bandwagon, following games like Predator, Evil Dead and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. In fact, it’s being developed by the creators of Predator.
Honestly, this sounds a little disappointing, as 2009’s Ghostbusters was genuinely one of the best movie-based games we had played, so we were hoping for more of a big-budget well crafted game.
Not to say this might not be good, but Illfonic doesn’t really have the best rep when it comes to games like this so my hopes are not high. However, a game that mixes elements of Dead By Daylight and Phasmaphobia with Ghostbusters can be interesting, provided they take all the right inspirations.
Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed will launch on Epic Games Store for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
