After Telltale went defunct in late 2018, many thought that they were gone for good, especially seeing how Skybound had to step in and finish the final episodes of The Walking Dead. However, in 2019, LCG Entertainment announced the majority acquisition of Telltale assets, with a goal to restart the studio with former developers.
The revamped Telltale has just announced its first title that they will be working on alongside Deck Nine (developers of Life Is Strange: True Colours), developing a story-driven, interactive game serving as a Prequel to The Expanse TV series revolving around Camina Drummer.
The Expanse: A Telltale Series is currently in the early stages of development and will let players explore the belt amidst a bloody mutiny, with difficult choices that will determine the fate of the crew and ship.
