After weeks of rumours and speculation, the remaster for Alan Wake was officially confirmed through an open letter by Sam Lake via the popular Alan Wake fansite, revealing some interesting early details.
Originally, Alan Wake was only released on the PC and Xbox, but the remaster will finally be coming to Playstation as well, with brand new enhancements and improvements that aim to heighten the original experience on PC, Xbox Series X and Playstation 5.
Alan Wake Remastered is the original experience you fell in love with all those years ago. We did not want to change that. But the visuals all around, including the character model of Alan Wake himself and the cinematics, have been updated and improved with some choice next-generation upgrades.

There is no news on whether American Nightmare will also be getting remastered, but here’s hoping that it is part of the package due to its essential storytelling which features a strong antagonist.
Alan Wake is easily one of the best-written games out there, and can easily be considered a classic due to its memorable and eccentric setting inspired by artists such as David Lynch. Not to mention, it has an amazing original score by Petri Alanko! Hopefully, this means that we will get the highly anticipated sequel down the line as well.
