We were very impressed by Alliance of the Sacred Suns when it was previewed to us at E3, earlier this year. The character and diplomacy led setting felt refreshing for a 4X game. At PAX West, its new military system was recently shown by the developer.
The best thing is that players can try the new additions themselves at no cost, by downloading the free demo on Steam. This update adds a full range of features for emperors and empresses to protect and expand their interstellar domains, including a range of targeted operations, unique military projects, a detailed supply system, and a variety of expedition types.
Alliance of the Sacred Suns is still scheduled for release this year on the PC.
