A brand new behind-the-scenes video has been released for Guardians of the Galaxy, this time focusing on the game’s original and licensed music. As fans might know, good music is key to a great Guardians experience, something that the audio director and composer Richard Jacques has taken care of.
Richard Jacques is one of the most underrated composers working in games today and has been responsible for various Sega games such as Sonic and Jet Set Radio. However, in my opinion, one of his best works is still 007: Bloodstone.
Whilst the original song selection is great, the original theme for the game is sounding just as heroic and memorable as Tyler Bate’s movie version. I am personally excited to hear more of the original music and how it fits within the game.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy brings together three distinct musical styles in its soundtrack: an epic orchestral score, an all-star mixtape of licensed ‘80s tracks, and an original rock album created just for the game.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on October 26, 2021.
