Nintendo finally showed off Breath of the Wild 2 at this year’s E3, giving us a glimpse of the environments from its version of Hyrule, such as the vibrant floating islands and the lush countryside. Some new enemies could also be seen!

Brand new mechanics were also teased, such as the ability to reverse an object’s timeline, pass through solid objects and inclusion of what appeared to be a dragon-shaped shield attachment that spits fire.

A lot of speculation has been happening online, if the Link we see in this trailer is the same from Breath of the Wild, or if this might be the legendary hero from the past we were given hints of in the first game.

Breath of the Wild 2 wasn’t the only Zelda game present at the showcase, as Nintendo also showed off an updated HD version for Skyward Sword. Players will choose between updated controls or the original motion-led combat present in the Wii release.

Skyward Sword HD will be available on the 16th of July for the Nintendo Switch. However, Breath of the Wild 2 won’t be releasing at least until 2022.
