Gearbox’s E3 Showcase revealed some exciting new content for Godfall releasing on August 10th, which will including the Fire & Darkness expansion as well as the free Lightbringer update. A PlayStation 4 version of the game was also confirmed and will feature cross-gen co-op capabilities and a free upgrade path to the PlayStation 5 version.
Fire & Darkness will introduce players to the Fire Realm – the most extensive realm to date, featuring new story missions and cutscenes. The Lightbringer Update will also add the Lightbringer Endgame mode with new rooms, new endgame activities, a new mode, and nearly 100 new loot and cosmetic items.
Counterplay Games has continuously updated Godfall since its release as a PlayStation 5 launch title, focusing on incorporating community-requested features and quality of life enhancements. It is excellent to know that they will be continuing this support. Godfall Fire & Darkness will be coming to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Epic Games Store on August 10th.
