There were quite a few exciting surprises in last night’s Resident Evil showcase, revealing not only interesting information about Village, such as the return of mercenary mode and a brand new demo, but also the long rumoured Resident Evil 4 VR game.
Resident Evil 4 is easily one of the best survival horror games ever made and was one of the first in its class that inspired other over the shoulder horror shooters like Dead Space, raising the playing field for action survival-horror in general.
The VR version of the fourth chapter will now be making its exclusive debut on the Oculus Quest 2 platform, letting players immerse themselves in the dangerous world of Los Iluminados and its maniac followers. The game definitely looks to have quite a bit of physical interaction with weapons and props, making it more than just a walking light-gun shooter.
More information will be revealed in the Quest 2 showcase on the 21st of April, looking at brand new gameplay and more details for the VR version.
