The wait is almost over for console players, as Team Meat’s long-awaited sequel to 2010’s excellent platformer Super Meat Boy, is about to arrive on the PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One & Series X|S.
Super Meat Boy Forever follows Meat Boy and his partner Bandage Girl who have had a child called Nugget, who as you can imagine, gets abducted by the maniacal stillborn psychopath, Dr. Fetus (he’s really got a thing for abduction hasn’t he!). So, it’s now up to Meat Boy, Bandage Girl, and some surprising new characters in the expanding Meat Boy Cinematic Universe, to rescue Nugget.
A lot has changed since the last installment as we now play as both Meat Boy (who has been working out and now packs as mean right hook!) and Bandage Girl whose acrobatic moves have expanded to include new slide and plummeting maneuvers as well as new power-ups.
Don’t let these new techniques fool you! Forever is going to provide you with the same satisfying yet brutal challenges as its predecessor. This isn’t a game you only play once of course, as the game offers literally thousands of handcrafted levels as well endless level remixes for players to enjoy and conquer.
Following its debut on the Epic Games Store and the Nintendo Switch, SuperMeatBoy Forever will be available for PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One & Series X|S on April 16.
