Watch Dogs legion will be getting a free trial this weekend, allowing everyone to give the game’s features a go in both single and multiplayer, as well as try out all the activities available for players in-game.

Watch Dogs: Legion will be available to play for free from 25th – 29th March on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5*, Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on Windows PC. Those interested can also get the game for up to 50% off on selected platforms and can pre-load the game for the trial now.

Players who want to continue their fight will keep their game progression and enjoy discounts on Watch Dogs: Legion and the season pass across selected platforms:

  • Xbox: From 23rd March to 15th April – 50% off of the Standard and Ultimate editions.
  • PlayStation: From 24th March to 31st March – 50% off of the Standard and Ultimate editions and 25% off of the season pass
  • Ubisoft Store on Windows PC: From 18th March to 9th April – 50% off of the Standard, Gold & Ultimate editions, and 25% off of the season pass
  • Epic Games Store on Windows PC: March 25th to April 8th – 50% off of the Standard, Gold & Ultimate editions, and 25% off of the season pass
  • Stadia: From 25th March – 29th March, 50% off of the Standard, Gold & Ultimate editions and 25% off of the season pass.

Honestly, I am quite surprised that this is getting a free trial only a few months after release. I have a suspicion that the game isn’t selling as well as Ubisoft had hoped. We haven’t given the game a chance ourselves, mainly because we are still not sold on the characterless premise, where we don’t have a central character to root for.

However, that might change with Aiden and Wrench’s upcoming DLC Bloodline, in late June, which might finally get me to give this a go! Especially as I genuinely liked both Wrench and Aiden in the previous games.
