Lara Croft is one of the most popular characters in gaming, and is pretty much a household name recognised by most people around the world. To commemorate 25 years of the iconic franchise, Crystal Dynamic and Square Enix have setup a celebration page.
Through it, they aim to provide in-depth explorations of the major games released in the franchise, including nostalgic media deep from the archives, developer interviews, community activities, live playthroughs, and more.
They will gradually revisit the games, focusing on one game each month. Fans of Tomb Raider and Lara Croft can also look forward to additional franchise announcements over the course of the year.
An animated Netflix series was also announced recently that will continue the adventures of Lara from the recent reboot trilogy. It will be made in partnership with Legendary Television and dj2 Entertainment, and will be written by Tasha Huo, who is currently also working on Witcher: Blood Origin and Red Sonja.
