The best thing Game Awards has been doing in recent years is having a live orchestra accompany the nominations and winners, with Lorne Balfe playing refreshing arrangements of the nominee’s original themes the last few years.

He will be back this year again, once again highlighting the brilliant original music of this year’s nominees. He will be conducting the world-renowned London Philharmonic Orchestra from London’s famous Abbey Road Studios.

Lorne Balfe has been behind some of the best music in both videogames and movies, helming the likes of Assassin’s Creed Revelations, Mission Impossible: Fallout, Modern Warfare 2, and much more.

The Game Awards will be streamed for free, live on the 10th of December, in 4K UHD from Hollywood, California, with special segments from other locations around the world, including London’s historic Abbey Road Studios.

We will be getting the official nominees for The Game Awards in a few hours as well, showcasing the games that have a chance to take home the awards.
