When I played the original XIII more than a decade ago, it managed to grip me with its eye-catching style and responsive shooting mechanics, which is why I am excited to be seeing a remake coming soon.
Whilst the remake will come with tons of gameplay upgrades and visual updates, the essence of the guns will remain the same, giving us good old firepower. The brand new trailer further highlights that showcasing some of the unique weapons and gadgets you will be able to utilise.
Based loosely on Belgian graphic novels of the same name, XIII is a Bourne-Esque thrill ride that follows an amnesiac whose only clue to his past life is the XIII tattooed on his collarbone, and his lethal survival skills. It will also feature the iconic soundtrack and voices from the original game!
A limited edition was also announced via the trailer, showcasing the Metal Case, Art Cards and preorder bonuses the physical edition will be bundled with.
The remake will be available for the PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One on the 10th of November, with a Nintendo Switch release planned for 2021. It is being developed by PlayMagic and published by Microids.
