The Path of Calydra features an expressive animation style and fantastical setting usually seen in films from Dreamworks, which is definitely high praise!
In the game, players hop into the shoes of Matheus, a shy and quiet boy who meets a mysterious otherworldly being named Calydra. Calydra brings Matheus through a portal to the whimsical world of Calysgore to seek out the four crystals that contain the lost elemental magics. Matheus will gain powers that allow him to breathe underwater, fly, and gain powerful combat skills.
It is being developed by the Brazilian based FinalBoss, whose impressive portfolio of work has ties with companies such as Square-Enix, McDonald’s and even Sky. With 14 years of experience, they are at the forefront of game development in Brazil.
The Path of Calydra is currently listed on Steam, however, a release date has not been fully confirmed yet. Expect to hear more about the game in the upcoming months.
