The Witcher 3 is a Free Upgrade on PS5 and Xbox Series X

The Witcher 3 is coming to the next generation!

A visually and technically enhanced version of the game will be available for purchase for PC and next-gen consoles & as a free update for owners of the game on PC, @Xbox One and @PlayStation 4.

We can always count on CDPR to be consumer friendly, and it is no different this time, as CDPR has confirmed that they will be giving everyone who already owns Witcher 3 on the Playstation 4 or Xbox One a free upgrade to next gen versions that will be on the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X.

The next gen versions will include Ray Tracing support with enhanced visuals and improved performance, including fast loading times. I can’t personally wait to see Roach reflecting Ray-Traced sunlight as he stands on the top of a chimney refusing to come down.

No dates have been given, but the game is currently available for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One, as well as Nintendo Switch.
